Bombardier Announces Heavy Maintenance Agreement for Skywest and ASA

A maintenance contract has been signed between Skywest Airlines and Bombardier Services Corporation (BSC), a subsidiary of Bombardier Inc., under which BSC will perform C checks, other heavy maintenance and modifications on the airline's fleet of CRJ regional jets.

The companies said that the contract is for a 10-year term and applies to SkyWest's CRJ200, CRJ700 and CRJ900 aircraft, of which SkyWest operates 222.

In addition Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA) has also selected BSC to perform heavy maintenance services. The agreement reportedly applies to the airlines CRJ200 regional jets, of which ASA operates 110.

BSC said that the SkyWest maintenance will be performed at the BSC - Bombardier Aircraft Services facility in Tucson, Arizona, while the ASA maintenance will be performed at the BSC - Bombardier Aircraft Services facility (West Virginia Air Center) in Bridgeport, West Virginia.
