Magnum Jets Buying 101 A700 AdamJets

ORLANDO - Although Adam Aircraft has yet to begin the certification process for its A700 AdamJet, Magnum Jet has placed orders for 101 of the new very light jets.
Based on its recently certified A500, a twin engine piston, Adam hopes to begin the certification for the jet early next year. The two completed A700s have collectively flown more than 850 hours. Planes three and four are now on the assembly line, said CEO Rick Adam.
Having secured $93 million in its latest round of funding in August, Adam Aircraft is now in revenue production of the A500. The company has delivered the eight planes with another 10 to 24 in various stages of production in Englewood, Colo.
The seven-to-eight passenger A700 is priced at $2.25 and will be built at a new facility in Ogden, Utah - just down the road from the Williams jet engine facility.
Magnum has split its orders evenly between firm and options. It placed its first orders back in August 2004.
