Donaldson Appoints General Manager and Director of Sales at Western Filter
MINNEAPOLIS, MN – November 9, 2009 – Donaldson Company (NYSE:DCI), a leading, worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, is pleased to announce the appointment of Todd Smith as General Manager and Mike Trevino as Director of Sales for Western Filter. Western Filter was acquired by Donaldson Company in 2008 and is a part of the Donaldson Aerospace and Defense Group.
Todd Smith joined Donaldson in 1997. He most recently served as Director of Compressed Air and Process Filtration. In that position, he spearheaded unprecedented growth of the original equipment business - more than doubling sales - and implemented key operational changes.
"Todd's solid understanding of Donaldson's products, coupled with his unparalleled customer focus and proven leadership are the perfect formula to continue to accelerate the growth and transformation at Western Filter," said Sheila Peyraud, General Manager of Aerospace and Defense at Donaldson Company. "I am confident that he will bring this same energy and leadership to our aerospace and defense business."

He holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND and a masters degree in marketing and advertising from Emerson College in Boston, MA.
Michael Trevino joins Donaldson with an extensive career in the aerospace and defense industry. Most recently, he was the Director of Business Development with HR Textron. He was responsible for the overall growth and profitability of the aircraft systems business line. His various leadership roles include overseas assignments in the Netherlands and Singapore.
"Mike's experience within the aerospace and defense industry and global sales experience will be a key asset as we leverage Donaldson's international partnerships to grow our liquid filtration business," said Todd Smith.
