FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – CRS Jet Spares, an aftermarket support company based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida celebrated its 25th year in business at this year’s NBAA. In honor of their customers and the occasion, CRS gave away a 2007 Ford Mustang GT Convertible at its booth. The big giveaway was the culmination of a 13-city tour where a winner at each site was chosen and given an opportunity to win the special prize in Atlanta.

During the show, CRS drew cards from two additional contestants bringing the total to 15 people. On Wednesday, a crowd gathered in the aisles and in the CRS booth to see who would win the Mustang. Fifteen keys were given out with only one key being the one to start the engine. “What better way to say thank you to our customers, have some fun and generate some excitement,” extolled CRS CEO and founder Armando Leighton Jr. CRS has been supported by Gulfstream, Lear, Hawker, Challenger, and Falcon customers for 25 years and CRS wanted to say thank you! Seven finalists got behind the wheel hoping their key would start the car, but their keys did not ignite the engine. When Nick Tran, a 25 year old mechanic from Airnet got behind the wheel, things would be different. Nick who was the Columbus, OH representative had taken vacation time and driven down with a co-worker for his one of fifteen chance. Once he sat in the car, he pushed in the key, turned it, the engine roared, and Nick jumped out of his seat pumping his fists in the air with excitement. The CRS 25th year celebration of supplying service, support, and parts to aircraft operators around the world had come to a very happy conclusion for all the excited bystanders, not so lucky contestants, the CRS team and the young mechanic from Airnet.
