Executive Beechcraft Debuts All Glass King Air Avionics Panel

Executive Beechcraft

KANSAS CITY, MO - With STC approval anticipated in Spring 2007, Executive Beechcraft is already booking business to retrofit the King Air C90 Series with the industry's most sophisticated, all glass avionics suite, Garmin's G1000 integrated system. Executive Beechcraft is the first factory-authorized dealer to offer this navigation system upgrade, and has worked exclusively with Garmin to earn the Supplemental Type Certification.

"We're really pleased on a number of fronts," according to Scott Tychsen, Director of Sales and Business Development for Kansas City-based Executive Beechcraft. "Our partnership with Garmin has been tremendous, and the STC process has gone well. But the biggest excitement, of course, is in bringing real benefit to the King Air community."

The G1000 retrofit represents a giant leap forward for King Air owners and operators, Tychsen added.

"While the King Air is a magnificent machine in and of itself, the upgrade to the 'all glass' panel takes the aircraft well into the 21st century," said Tychsen. "This is start-of-the-art communications for a well deserving airplane."

Executive Beechcraft expects big demand for the retrofit, and as such, is already booking business. The final STC approval is due in early 2007, at which time work will begin at two EB locations, both downtown Kansas City and St. Louis. This is the first time the G1000 has been available for retrofit, though it is standard equipment in both the Beechcraft Bonanza G36 and Baron G58.

Garmin's G1000 has revolutionized industry avionics in recent years, and is considered the most sophisticated navigation and communications system on the market. It integrates all primary flight, navigation, communications, terrain, traffic, weather, engine instrumentation and crew-alert data, and presents the composite information in brilliant color on three high-definition displays.

As an added incentive and to jump-start orders, Executive Beechcraft is offering early-bird pricing for those who schedule their aircraft for retrofit soon.
